This was so confusing to me, until I realized that they were talking about disqualifying the winner for interfering with OTHER horses, not necessarily the one who actually benefited and won the race by default.
It was a pretty clear violation, regardless of intent.

As someone who doesn’t know anything about horse racing but knows a lot about all other types of racing:
This result is horseshit. Let them race, let them bump, click heels, block, whatever. Crashes are just a part of the race, right?? More importantly, it wasn’t like there was clear intent to obstruct, therefore it should be legal.
